I'm thankful for one of my all time favorite online friends, Iris. I'm sure that anyone who knows Iris, knows what an awesome, and genuine person she is.
Happy birthday, Iris!! Love and hugs, my friend.

If you are friends with Iris too, wish her a happy birthday on your blog. Her birthday is this Saturday!

After watching Angie's video over at The Knightly News I got anxious to put one up too. So here's one that Graham and I did last weekend. Ignore the hair in front of my face, and enjoy!
Schacht Six Interview 1
A few weeks ago, we got a new webcam, but since I'm not great at podcasts, I haven't had the nerve to post any of them yet. I figure that once the kids are back at school, the house will be quiet enough for me to try again--providing the bird can keep quiet long enough.

Tooth Fairy Trouble
First thing I hear this morning:
"Mom, I looked everywhere, and the tooth fairy didn't leave me any money!"
Doh! Again? What is this like the fourth time?
Turns out that after I came down for a second look, we did find $2.00 under the sheets. Wow that tooth fairy likes to play with our minds.

On one hand I'm sad, but on the other I'm eager to get back into a regular routine. I had to get CWO done for month end, so juggling the two was a little difficult. I feel so relaxed today!
We spent a few days at Canad Inns in Grand Forks. They have an amazing waterpark in the hotel! The kids loved it, and I could tell that my husband did as well, since he was sliding from morning til night. I snagged a few photos from their website, so any bikinis you may see are not mine:
This is a bowl that spins you like your going down the toilet. When my little guy got stuck swirling in there, my husband said, "The turd won't flush." and we were all laughing hysterically. It was cute.
This is the lazy river where I spent the most time. My daughter and I would float around for an hour or so together.
These are the smaller water slides:
And here's a view from the top, that only shows about half of the park (which is all indoors). The large waterslide is partially in view on the left. It is joined to the swirly bowl.
So that was the highlight of my vacation, and will likely be a regular vacation spot for our family.
Back to Reality!
We're just winding down our vacation, and Michael will be heading back to work in a couple of days. I always feel gloomy when family vacation ends.

My husband takes great photos, so the other day he took a few of the new blonde. He's been doing that every time I get a new do, which means he's behind the lens a lot! Actually I got the blonde done about two months ago, but just got to getting photos this week. So here's the new me...
It Used to Be Shoes...
Now it's hair. I remember the days when the closet was full of shoes in every color, now the color is in my hair. I was strawberry blonde last year. I went to red for New Years. Then I tried a two-tone blonde/red combo (not me), and finally I've decided on a lighter shade of blonde!

So for my first day of vacation, I gardened. I finally figured out what to do with the bricks, which was to create a flower box that lines the sidewalk to our front door. I've only got two plants in it so far, which I snagged from our shade garden in the backyard.
My sister popped in for a minute, and taught me a few things about pruning, so I spent about two hours doing that. Wow, did I ever meditate on God during that time. Pruning mirrors life circumstances in so many ways.
Now, I'm physically exausted, since I've been in the garden for the last six hours. So my feet are up, and I'm vegging out on the laptop. Should be a great two weeks!
Gardening, Gardening, Gardening...
Hubby is on vacation for two weeks, and so we are doing whatever is relaxing and fun. We aren't going to far away lands, but we plan to enjoy some R&R around home.
